The ArithmAttack

Math Baseball

Tic Tac Toe Squares

Students test their skills to see how many questions they can get right in a 60 second period in The ArithmAttack.  Finally, two additional web sites, Math Baseball and Tic Tac Toe Squares allowed students to play a two-player game together.

Various Elementary Grade Levels
Juice Bottle Jingles

Carol Wedekind's students at CBS enjoyed using this site and the SMART Board to play various songs.  Two students paired up to play a song, while the rest of the class tried to guess what song it was.  Number recognition is the key skill stressed in this activity.

Early Elementary
Equivalent Fractions

Jerry Schwartz' 5th Grade class at CBS received an overall demonstration of the SMART Board and its capabilities.  Students took turns coming up to the SMART Board and comparing Equivalent Fractions.

Grade 5
Interactive Immigration Lesson (Sites Used)  Mapquest and Wall of Honor

Paula Mann's class at CBS took a virtual tour of what is was like for immigrants to travel from their native country to the US.  Using the SMART Board, Paula used the 3 sites listed here.

Middle to Upper Elementary Grade Levels

Virtual Tour of the US Government

Students going to this site can take a virtual tour of the White House and learn the history as well.  This virtual tour was used by Heather Wawrzyniak and her 2nd Grade Students at CBS.  Heather also e-mailed the President using the SMART Board.
